กรมโยธาธิการและผังเมืองมีความประสงค์จะจ้างก่อสร้างเขื่อนป้องกันตลิ่งริมแม่น้ำปิง ในพื้นที่หมู่ที่ 3, 5, 6 ตำบลคลองขลุง อำเภอคลองขลุง จังหวัดกำแพงเพชร ความยาว 635 เมตร เพื่อแก้ไขปัญหาการกัดเซาะตลิ่งที่รุนแรงในปัจจุบัน โครงการนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์หลักเพื่อลดความเสียหายและป้องกันการพังทลายของพื้นที่ตลิ่งริมแม่น้ำ ผู้รับจ้างจะต้องมีคุณสมบัติเฉพาะตามที่กำหนด เช่น การขึ้นทะเบียนงานก่อสร้างเขื่อนป้องกันตลิ่งและชายฝั่งกับกรมบัญชีกลางไม่ต่ำกว่าชั้น 3 และต้องปฏิบัติตามเงื่อนไขการใช้วัสดุที่ผลิตในประเทศไม่น้อยกว่าร้อยละ 50 และเหล็กที่ผลิตในประเทศไม่น้อยกว่าร้อยละ 90 ของปริมาณที่ใช้ทั้งหมด ระยะเวลาก่อสร้างรวม 650 วัน โดยมีวงเงินงบประมาณ 50,000,000 บาท การพิจารณาคัดเลือกข้อเสนอจะใช้หลักเกณฑ์ราคาเป็นสำคัญ
